Complete Collections?

I do not have the space for the "big items" in any one collection, so I go for outfits and small things.
I have all of Addy's outfits and am working on her winter pastimes (not anytime soon at over $100!) and her theater set.

For Samantha I have all dresses with exception of the new one (yup! I'll get it for the integrity of the collection, even thought I believe the colors are historically inaccurate). No accessories her.

I have all outfits for Lissie, except the work gown (need an extra paycheck there!) and the yellow tea lesson one because I need to take Chubette to AGP and try it on her!

On the non-historicals, I have all of Coconut's stuff. Cute puppy!

Does anyone have a complete collection for any of the historical dolls? I'm just curious. I'm trying to complete my historicals collections, but I know it won't be easy and it will take quite some time. The closest I have come to a complete collection is Molly's collection: I have all but four of her outfits (Roller-Skating, Dude Ranch, Swimming, and Miss Victory Costume), 9 accessories (Roller Skates, Party Treats, Party Games, Christmas Box, Shoes & Socks, Plaid Suitcase, Camping Equipment, Capture the Flag Gear, and Winter Activities), and 2 pieces of furniture (Chrome Table & Chairs, and Adirondack beach Chair). If you have a complete collection, do you have any tips or anything on how to complete your collection? Thanks! The only collection I'm close to completing is Nellie's- the only thing I don't have is her doll. I also have Lindsey and Marisol's complete collections.

No, but I am working on Samantha's. It is taking me forever, especially because they come out with new stuff for her all the time. I am also trying to get everything that originally made PM off E-Bay. Right now I am searching for her desk; they just go so high. It is a good question though, I have always wondered who here has complete collections for their girls.

EDITED TO ADD: The "system" I am using to accumulate all Samantha's things is pretty simple. I had a lot of her collection from childhood so I "fill in" the pieces of the core collection that I don't have. For instance: in Sam's school collection I only had her dress and school supplies. I got her lunch on E-Bay and now am looking for her desk. I then moved on to her christmas story. I have everything so then to her Birthday..and so on and so on. The only thing is that after the core collection I collect in order of when her stuff came out. I have all her outfits with the exception of her Bicycle Riding one. I have a checklist of everything for her and the year it came out. This was I remain organized. It is kinda like a sport for me. [img]redface.gif[/img]

Not this moment, but really working to complete Kit's collection only need 6 more items. And then try to finish Samantha's, Molly's and Felicity's (without the retired stuff)

We don't have anything complete yet, but with Kit, I decided we'd start on her clothes and accessories and then move on to the bigger items like the furniture and her trunk. It's working pretty good so far, so I think I will do it this way for Josefina too.

Nope. and nowhere close to completing one yet. I figure I may start with trying to complet them by book. like I'll try to complete Kirsten's school collection or something.

I am quite close with Felicity and Kaya.

For Felicity I only lack about 4 of the retired and ultra expensive accessories kits(like the rescue kit for example) for Kaya I will be getting her horse and saddle and then the only remaining things will be her jingle dress and her foal.

FELICITY - Everything except Tea Treats, mini doll, new Clothes Press & Stable (don't want these)

ELIZABETH -Everything but Dressing Table Accessories, Bedding & mini doll (don't want these things)

NELLIE - everything but mini doll, Irish dance outfit (don't want these)

SAMANTHA - Complete

MOLLY - Everything but brown bag lunch, Chrome table & chairs, Molly's turquoise skates

KIT - Everything but Grace the Basset Hound, Table & Chairs, Glassware & Linens, Party Treats, Kit's Scooter (don't want the scooter)

KIRSTEN - Everything but School Bench, Table & Chairs, Pottery Set (don't want school bench)

JOSEFINA - I'm still working on her collection. I'm afraid it will have to wait. I have about half of it now.

Before I begin, I agree with auri and think AG needs to do something BIG for the 20th anniversary. They certainly have the people who would spend the money on it!
I too have been collecting for a long time, and have multiple completed collections (or as complete as I want). Sam is finished except for the new outfit and the bridesmaid dress & accessories--I'm still not sure if I like that. Does anyone have it and would anyone be willing to tell me if it's worth it?
Felicity is finished except for her new stuff, though there's not much of it I want--I don't like the stable, I don't want Polly, I'm thinking about Patriot and the tea set because it's cute, but find there are other things I could spend my money on (Kirsten needs a trunk! her stuff is living in a rubbermaid box!).
Addy is complete.
Josefina is complete (and the last one I truly finished), except for the piano, because I couldn't justify spending $120 on it when I was 16, but now almost wish I had!
Kit is complete, except for her jade green table (now that all my doll furniture is stored away, I can't justify buying anymore of it, sadly, until I have my own place to put it all out).
Kirsten needs her trunk and her birthday treats (I don't have any of her furniture except the table).
Nellie's done but for the Irish dance outfit I don't want, I need to get Elizabeth's dressing table accessories (and want the bed, but again, no place to put it), and Marisol's done. Maddie, my AGT20, will never be finished. They keep coming out with such neat stuff!
As for how I try to collect, well, I like buying monthly sale stuff when there's something I don't have, but then I always intend to buy stuff by collection (i.e., school, christmas, birthday), but sometimes I just end up buying what I really want and fill in the rest of the collection as I go. If you want to consider Marisol's a collection then I have all of hers but for the historicals I am working on Kaya's. I only need her craft kit, winter hood and mittens, her foods and sparks flying of the things I want for her. I don't really want the outfits for her.
